Create Realistic 3D Oil Painting Effect in Houdini using Stroke-it v1.5 Tool by Will MacNeil. The tool is Houdini Asset that creates realistic oil painting strokes physically in 3D space. The strokes have a 3D depth to them, similar to thick paint on a canvas. All the geometry is inside Houdini using a custom sweep object. And it controls for things like stroke width, bristle height and color mixing. Stroke-it 1.5 is a free update to anyone who previously purchased Stroke-it. The big new feature is Autotrace a fast and effective way to convert images into paintings (Please check gallery above to see some example). Stroke-it 1.5 comes with an example set and detailed explanation about how to use Autotrace
